PGAM Webinar: Maintaining and Restoring Relationships with Problem Gamblers

The Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey (CCGNJ) will present the fifth and final in its Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM) webinar series on April 5. PGAM is dedicated to raising awareness about gambling problems and related issues, which have increased significantly in the last five years. The Council’s 2024 PGAM theme is “Betting on Change: Confronting the Surge in Problem Gambling.”

The hour-long webinar, entitled “Maintaining and Restoring Relationships with Problem Gamblers ,” will be presented by Christine Paladino, CCGNJ Prevention Specialist (pictured), on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

Webinar description: The webinar will provide an overview of the help and support that is available to those closest to the problem gambler: their loved ones. Topics will include lived experiences of family members, professional treatment options and an introduction to Gam Anon, a 12-step recovery program for those impacted by someone else’s gambling problem. Attendees will gain knowledge and insight into developing and maintaining a healthy, understanding, and safe supportive relationship with a friend or family member who may be a problem gambler.
