Fred W. Hogan is the current President of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey. He has been a Board Member since 1999. He has been appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the Ethics Committee District IIIA, Ocean County.
Mr. Hogan is a CSW, an ICGC-II and a founding member of the Association of Professionals Treating Problem Gambling. He is the past president of New Jersey Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.
Fred’s career of 40-plus years in the criminal justice system has included multiple titles in the NJ Office of the Public Defender, including Statewide Drug Court Coordinator. Fred had worked in various investigative units and is currently retired.
He is co-author of “Justice on the Ropes” a book about the wrongfully convicted Rubin “Hurricane” Carter and John Artis.
